I've been discussing the following issue off line and I wanted to know if I am imagining a problem. I have set the SSB mode to PTT and have adjusted the T/R delay to be 0...which means I should have virtually no delay from when I release the PTT switch until the time I hear audio. Well, I have a delay in the neighborhood of a couple of hundred milli-seconds. I confirmed that the VOX modes work and that the delay is adjustable so I was wondering....
When you release the PTT switch, do you hear audio instantly or is there a small delay. As a comparison, there is virtually no delay when I use my ICOM radio. Thanks for any insight. On S/N 1641 there is no perceptable delay whatsoever. Perhaps you might want to check stuff in the AGC section? 73 de Maggie K3XS -- -----/___. _)Margaret Stephanie Leber CCP, SCJP/"The art of progress / ----/(, /| /| http://voicenet.com/~maggie SCWCD/ is to preserve order/ ---/ / | / | _ _ _ ` _ AOPA 925383/ amid change and to / --/ ) / |/ |_(_(_(_/_(_/__(__(/_ K3XS / preserve change amid/ -/ (_/ ' .-/ .-/ ARRL 39280 /order."-A.N.Whitehead/ /________________(_/_(_/_______AMSAT 32844_/<[hidden email]>/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
