I do believe that OS X Mountain Lion is now up to 10.8.4 (officially) and apparently
there's a 10.8.5 in beta testing now, regardless of "Mavericks". You might want
to upgrade to 10.8.4 first, then double-check that the rest of your system is up to
date, then go after the latest-n-greatest FTDI drivers. (IMNSHO as a retired
software QC engineer in the UNIX community).
