Fwd: Wrong voltage display

JEAN-FRANCOIS MENARD-3
It seems also that he always have 0 A in the current display. So,
voltage show around 5V, current show 0A and he get a low batt
warning....

R9 and R10 seems to be good. He get around 4V on U6 PIN5 on the
control board... seems strange....

Thanks for any suggestion.

RE: Wrong voltage display

Don Wilhelm-3
Jean-Francios,

The 4 volt reading at U6 pin 5 sounds suspiciously like an open input to the
MPU, so look carefully at what is driving that line (U3 and asociated
circuits).

First check the center pin of Control Board P7.  With a 13.8 volt power
supply, the voltage there should be close to 13.5 volts.

If that is good, check the voltage at the junction of R9 and R10 (U3 pin 5),
that should read 2.64 volts, after that check U3 pin 7 - it should also be
2.64 volts.  aIf that is not true, look at the voltage on U3 pin 8, it
should be 13.5 volts.  If U3 pin 8 is correct AND U3 pin 7 is not 2.64
volts, U3 is not functioning properly.

Don W3FPR
