HI RFI

k0wa@swbell.net
We received a HI RFI message on the K3.  Now it is down in RX...seems to be partially deaf.  How do you recover from this or is the unit broken ... as...send it off to get fixed.

In our day and age it seems that Common Sense is in short supply. If you don't have any Common Sense - get some Common Sense and use it. If you can't find any Common Sense, ask for help from somebody who has some Common Sense. Is Common Sense divine?

Re: HI RFI

Lee,

I would check the antennas and feedlines first.  Don't overlook those
short pieces of coax interconnecting things in the shack.  They can't
fix that kind of problem in Aptos.

Re: HI RFI

k0wa@swbell.net
Don,

That is all OK.  WE made sure coax connections were not the case.  We think it is D25 is blown as per the archives of one other guy who had the same issue.  The manual is rather unclear as to what to do when you get a HI RFI....it just says it got one and then does not say what to do.  So, I wonder if we need some clarification form Aptos about this issue.  Like when you get this....put in D25...or keep some on hand.
