I am sorry but this digital mode operation is new to me. I HRD program with with the DM780 as well. I hooked up the RS232 cable between the laptop and the K3. I have upgraded to v1.96 with no problem. I ran the HRD v3.5 1779 beta. I can not connect to the K3 using the K3 connect in the program it tries to read the frequency 3 times then fails. The K2 connect works and I can receive PSK31 and CW find but can not transmit. 1. Why is it not connecting to the K3 by not being able to read the frequency? 2. Are there any other cabling necessary to allow the use of the digital modes through HRD and DM780?
