Just a reminder ... 2359Z 05/15/2005 is the deadline for inclusion in
this lighthearted romp through CW, ham radio operators, and which hands
they use. They're still trickling in. All I need are the following
data:
Basic Handedness (right, left, either)
Writing Handedness
Straight Key Handedness (right, left, either, never used)
Bug Handedness
Iambic Keyer Handedness
PTT Switch Handedness (for phone-only ops)

"Basic handedness" is your own assessment of your dominant side. People
often switch off hands for various tasks, but most folks consider
themself right or left handed. I will take your word for it, no
questions asked, and you don't need to justify it. And for the record,
in case I misstated it, "Iambic Keyer" means how you handle any keyer,
regardless of whether or not you have mastered true Iambic keying.
I'll publish a summary of the results to the NCCC and Elecraft
reflectors and post the data and analysis to my web site sometime on
Tue, 5/17/05.
A number of folks have commented that a set of "voluntary" responses is
not a true random sample for statistical purposes. Rest assured, you
are quite right, and in fact, this little survey could easily be a
poster child for "How Not To Design An Experiment," as there are many,
many more biases (some of which I'll cover in the analysis). On the
other hand, life is way too short to take it seriously all the time.

PS: Congrats to Chip and Ken on their Tonight Show debut. I suggest
you begin writing your acceptance speeches for the Emmys now. Great
job!!
