Handy module to assist calibration

Tom Althoff
For what its worth I bought an Altronix 6030 timer module for $11.00.  It is designed primarily for use in the security alarm business but it has a nice 1 or 2 second toggling relay mode.

I used the "zero beat WWV matching a 500Hz sidetone to the WWV carrier in CW mode and then setting the VCO and BFO to be 10.000 Mhz apart" method of setting C22.  Instead of trying to keep the alignment tool on C22 with one hand and swap the probe back and forth between TP1 and TP2 I wired up the 6030 to flip flop between the two readings every 1 or 2 seconds so I could keep the alignment tool centered over C22 with one hand while nudging it CW and CCW with the other.      The 6062 would work as well.

Disclaimer: I have no association other then being a one time one item purchaser from AllKindsCable.com.   They had the lowest price on the 6030.
