ordered the MDR-7506's for  a great price. Thanks again to all for the

The Sony phones are great. I didn't use them with ham radio though. Too large of a freq response. So they're for sale.

I've almost always used Heil products and currently have the Pro 7 which have exceeded my expectations. I use geekria multi-colored earpad covers on all.

There're no undesirable frequencies in the audio going to my Sony phones so I don't need them to do any subsequent filtering.  The filtering and shaping of the audio occurs before the headphones.
