Help needed, ERR VCO

PD2R
Hello All,

Last week I put together my K3 serial number 1849. Right after the
first calibration I ran into a problem. The display showed ERR VC4 E
00039.
After contacting Elcraft I got an email from Garry explaining to me
how I could fix the problem by spreading the turns on the T1 VCO
inductor on the KSYN3 board.
Today I was able to try and fix the error and I followed Garry's
instructions to the letter.
Did it help? I'm not sure. I don't get the ERR VC4 E 00039 massage
anymore but insted I get an ERR VCO E 00178 message.

I have to wait another day to contact Garry but maybe one off you guys
can help me out.

Thanks,

Maarten

You probably spread them too much Maarten.  It is quite critical.

After fiddling with it some more the error message did not return. Calibration completed, now I only need to install the KPA3 to finish the build.

Thanks for all the help!
