Folks of the reflector:
I have K2 S/N 755 purchased last fall from WA7BOC. It works great, has the 100W amp, etc. This last spring I purchased a KAT-100 from a fellow on this reflector. I have forgotten his call. At the time, I did not have time... to try it out. I finally had an opportunity and ... nothing happens. No lights come on (although I know power is on the connector). Hitting 'Tune' shows no response from the tuner, etc. I built a K2 (S/N 157) long ago, but have no pretense of being up to date on the innards of a K2/100 or of the KAT-100. Could some patient soul out there help me through this process? I may have to contact Aptos... but I rather hope not. -- 73 Allan K7GT ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Allan,
Do you have the connector from the K2 AUX IO connector to the KAT100 Control input DB-9 connector in place? This is required for the KAT100 to communicate with the K2. If you do have the connector in place, then you have a problem either with the KAT100 or the K2/100 control lines that communicate with the KAT100. 73, Don W3FPR Allan Taylor wrote: > Folks of the reflector: > > I have K2 S/N 755 purchased last fall from WA7BOC. Allen, I know nothing about the K2 or the KAT-100, but I have experience with the folks at Aptos. They don't bite, don't even growl! They know their stuff! I can't think of any better place to ask for help with Elecraft products.
