Help on KX3 and MH3

Hi,

    I have a functioning KX3 and a new MH3 microphone. I plugged in the mic and PTT wasn't actuated when I pushed the mic lever. No modulation either. I pulled the mic plug out one position and got audio if I pushed the transmit button on the rig. Puzzled. I checked the wiring and no loose wires on the mic jack on the inside.

Doug,
      Several thoughts: Did you set the MIC GAIN? Does it do it in  
SSB, AM, and FM? On the menu MIC BIAS is it set to ON? On the menu MIC  
BTN is it set to PTT UP  DOWN? Are you in split? 73 Mike KF6KXG
