High Temp alarm when rig is cold - Anyone else seeing this?

Bill Maddock-2
I have been trying different things with my K3 #2914 - The problem appears
when rig is cold - this evening it was 10 deg C in my shop. I don't really see it in CW
or with a carrier, but ssb will vary and temp will spike as hi as 100 deg C
for very short periods of time namely milliseconds. Sometime the spike will sound
like distortion in my audio and power will dropp back to 5 to 10 watts - which I then reset!
It will spike then drop back to a more normal level. Now I have done transmit power calibration on 5 and 50 watts. Also I have recalibrated the front panel and PA temp. I still have the problem. Now I have noticed that it goes away if I go key down for a minute or so and bring the PA temperature up to say 40 or even as high as 50 degrees C. Then I have no problems!! It appears to be a cold start up issue - once the PA reaches a certain temperature ( unknown at this point) the issue stops! Thanks for your help with this issue!
