We've had a couple of reports that, upon upgrading to rev 1.79, KX3 users are finding that the PA MODE menu entry was set to ON. PA MODE should only be set to ON if the KX3 is connected to a KXPA100 via the control cable. This menu setting causes the KX3 to look for the KXPA100 and KXAT100, and it leaves the internal ATU bypassed.
If you are not using a KXPA100, or you have one but you're not using the control cable to the KX3, set PA MODE to OFF.
After loading the new firmware, check the setting again, just to make sure. I don't see how it could be getting set to ON by itself, but check it just in case.
Also, a reminder that we have placed links to the updated release of KX3 Utility on the KX3 software page. You should use the latest release to ensure that updating goes smoothly.
