INTERFACING A KENWOOD SM220 BANDSCOPE WITH A K3

ZL1BHQ
I am intending to interface my K3 with a Kenwood SM220 and installed the Elecraft KXV3 Interface to achieve this. Is there any other problems that may occur, other than to retune the SM220 bandscope input to the K3 IF frequency ?.
Comment and suggestions, ideas, etc. will be most welcome
Thanks in advance.

Hi John:
You will need a buffer amplifier between the IF output of the K3 and even then, it will not drive the SM-220 properly. I've tried it and was not happy with the end results.  Fern
