I tuned in at 10:00 a.m. PDT and was very excited to hear some strong
stations talking on 14.316 MHz. When I put out my call, someone told me I was on an Icom net that met on this frequency. The guy wasn't very friendly. The good news is I was hearing him very well, and the station he was talking to discussing the new Icom 7600 one of them had just bought. 73, Ron AE6RH Ron Midwin Midwin & Olifson, Inc. 2001 S. There were still stragglers on when I tuned them at nearly 11:00 am PDT waiting for the Elecraft SSB net. As usual, I heard nothing on 14.314 at the designated time and I "went elsewhere". -- 73 de K2ASP - Phil Kane Elecraft K2/100 s/n 5402 From a Clearing in the Silicon Forest Beaverton (Washington County) Oregon ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

I heard a couple of N.C. station very well, but alas the few times I heard net control well enough to be sure I wouldn't be answering on top of someones reports, my signals were lost in the crowd. I followed the entire net session and don't recall hearing your call. Do you have a beam? If you do and it was pointed to WA it would explain me not hearing your call, but I normally have fairly decent propagation to Texas on 20m. Did you hear my QSO with K7SJ?

OK, with 400W I should really have heard you. Did you hear the the EI station logging in? He was reasonable strong here in CNY and obviously in WA.
