The other day I was using my K2 on 40 meters. I was having a nice QSO and the audio started to fade. I thought at first is was QSB, but after the QSO ended there were other loud signals on the band. But, the audio gain was wide open. The RF gain was wide ipen as well. I made sure I had the right filters were in place. Then I thought the band might have gone altogether. But, there were some signals on 40 and some on 20 meters. After checking coax and the the like, I started suspecting the K2.
I decided to leave it for later because of family obligations. I came back a couple of house later and the audio was back up and everything was working fine.
Has anyone seen anything like this before? The rig had not be on for quite some time because I have been very busy with family and work.
