Internal speaker issue

After resetting the K3 due to another issue my internal speaker is now still on while transmitting SSB. This produces an echo effect and if the mic is close enough, feedback. Is there a easy fix to this?

Set the MON(itor) level (hold the CMP/PWR knob) to 0.
