We're all very familiar with the lovely Lisagram or the heart-warming
Katiegram. I've received a Madelyngram. It simply states my K3 has shipped. Whoo Hooo! I hope it takes it's time and doesn't arrive until after Tuesday. I'm teaching a photography class on Wednesdays and have been using Monday and Tuesday nights to prepare for the class. I DON'T need a nice new K3 arriving at that time and tempting me to go play radio when I'm supposed to be playing photographer. - Keith N1AS - - K2 5411.ssb.100 - - K3 enroute to me - _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. That's what I did. But only 'til after lunch. Hi. I know me well enough. There is absolutely no possible way I'll leave it just sitting there unopened. If I were to try to just ignore it and work on my photo class, I'd end up sitting there in a zombie daze, unable to concentrate on the Flash Exposure Lesson I need to prepare. If the K3 arrives, I'll have the box opened between the time I arrive home from work and the time dinner is on the table! - Keith N1AS - - K2 5411.ssb.100 - - K3 in a few days - _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. My K3 kit came just as I was leaving the house to go to my daughters
wedding rehearsal. I opened the white box and grabbed the manuals. I read while my xyl drove, an unusual circumstance. This was on a Thursday. I was on the air by Saturday morning, the wedding day. Kit went together very well and rig works as advertised. 73 Rick Dettinger K7MW On Apr 14, 2008, at 5:07 AM, Darwin, Keith wrote: > We're all very familiar with the lovely Lisagram or the heart-warming > Katiegram. Sounds like me but I have just ordered mine. I have read most of everything
I could download (two full loose-leaf notebooks), still have a bit to go. But I have LONG time to wait (ordered 3/30). I had a K2, REALLY impressed by the receive but the radio just didn't work out (I'll leave it at that). Read all the download stuff on the K2 and then when I made the decision, I started reading the K3 stuff and ordered it mainly on the performance of the K2 receive. This wait will be the slowest time of my life. I will have to reread the books when it gets closer to my ship date as I will have forgotten everything by then.
