Is there a way to connect K3 to CIV bus?

fserota
Is there a way, or an adapter, available to connect the K3 to the CIV bus. Second choice would be a K3 serial port to USB adapter. Are there any special considerations here?

Thanks for you help,

Fred, K3BHX

I think some of the microHAM units might do this. My MK2R+ advertises this capability.

It depends on the purpose for connecting the K3 to CI-V bus.  If
the user is trying to control an Icom compatible peripheral from
the K3, many of the microHAM interfaces (including DigiKeyer II,
microKEYER II, MK2R+ and Station Master) provide CI-V compatible
outputs.  Information on those auxiliary or amplifier control
outputs (including configuration data) are available in the User
Manual.

Note the microHAM interface generates an Icom CI-V "transceive"
compatible data stream "TO" the accessory.  There is no "reverse"
path and as such one can not connect an Icom transceiver to the
auxiliary CI-V jack and slave the K3 (or other supported
transceiver) to the Icom transceiver.
