I just ordered my K3 and they said it would take four months. I am a casual operator and every now and then, I may jump into a contest. I have a lot of line around me and running a G5RV in an antenna restricted neighborhood with limited space. Could you all tell me if I am on the right track here? Is there something I am missing that is important? I am going to use six meters but do I really need that extra antenna jack? Is it worth it? I was hoping to get a nice deep sounding audio but I am hearing that the audio tx doesn't go down to 75HZ like the other big radios. Could you express your experiences with the TX audio going out and if you can make it deeper so your K3 can stand out? I'll be honest with you, I went by the reviews when I made my decision to buy the radio. I have had problems with Yaesu and Kenwood in the past so I decided to get the K3. I never had a software based radio before. Some reviews say there is splatter but you can't always believe people that don't give call signs. So, since this is a Firmware related radio, does that mean that problems can be updated and corrected like the "splattered audio" problem even if it exists. Please bear with me here, I want this radio to be right and since I have four months, I can change my order to make it better. If you see something that would make my "radio experience" better, please send some advice this way. Thanks.
