K 2's still a sweet radio

W0WFH Bill
Hello  all who love Elecraft Radio's

I am a newbie to the Elecraft line of radio's
but have been hearing a lot about them for
several  years.  Now I own a loaded K2 some
I built and some I bought already built.  I
have been a big Yaesu fan for 30 plus years
but when I found out that they are no longer
going to support my 1999 FT 920.

Now my K2 is only a year old but they have been
on the market sense 1999 too and they are still
being support & sold by Elecraft.

I am now in the process of selling off all my older
radio's and hoping to have a nice K3 line setting
in front of me by next year.

I know this is long but just had to tell everyone
how much I like the Elecraft products.  Keep up
good job.

Welcome Bill.  You'll certainly find a great deal of agreement regarding
the K2.  Last year I built my third one.  They are really quite fun to
build.  I think they are absolutely the best cw rig going.  You may find
after a few years role by that you wind up building and owning the
entire Elecraft catalog.  I have a few Asian radios left in the
storeroom.  But, after setting up the K-Line, there's just not much I'm
lacking. The K3 is mighty compact.  But, its really a big-rig in
performance and features.

Your note is not long by any means.  We all love to share our thoughts,
feelings and experiences with Elecraft gear.  So jump right in and tell
us how you find your K2.  Ask what ever questions come to mind.  Lots of
expertise available and if the question needs the final answer, you'll
find that Wayne and Eric of Elecraft will jump in as needed.

Have fun with that K2!
