K-3 Display Brightness

RLVZ
Hi Guys,

I am looking for ideas on how to reduce my K-3's LCD backlight brightness.
I have the "LCD BRT" Menu control turned all the way down to "2" and it's
still too bright for me.  Yes, I my eyes are extra sensitive to light.

If someone has increased the value of R3 on the front panel circuit board
to reduce the display brightness can you tell me what value resistance worked
for you?

Thanks!

I never turn the backlight higher than LCD-2. But even though I don't
find it too bright for normal use I would occasionally like to turn it
off altogether. Unfortunately when you do this the LEDs go super
bright...

Anyhow, for reduciing the backlight brightness here is something else
that might work... Rather than changing the resistor get some
photographic "gel sheet" and insert it behind the display window. You
can try various colors or just neutral density sheet for no color
change.
