K-3 Lost KPA3 power output

Hi all,


Running my K-3 at 100w into low SWR antenna. Started a transmission and all fine. Instantly the output went to zero. Tried a reset. Still zero. I checked the Config menu setting under KPA and it is set to PA nor. Lowered power to 10 w and the output is fine. Adjust it past 12 w and the output goes to zero.


Any suggestions?

Thanks Rick for the response.


I was sitting here writing that email and doing some other book work with the rig still on. After finishing the paperwork, I hit the key once more and the power seemed to return. Maybe a thermal shutdown? Or?? I'll keep an eye on it for the next few days to see if there is a reoccurrence.
