K-3 question

Richard Fjeld
I see that recent K-3 serial numbers are in the six thousand range. Just wondering approximately when did number one come out?

Re: K-3 question

Dick Dickinson
As I recall, K3s began shipping in November of 2007.

I don't recall what the 1st shipped numbers were as a number of test units
were out.

Re: K-3 question

Gregg Marco W6IZT
I believe that there were approximately 30 units that went to field testers.
I have s/n 47 and received it in late Oct or early Nov 2007. My second K3
and a KPA500 will be returning from Malpelo with me in Feb 2012.

Thanks to the entire Elecraft team for your support!

W6IZT
