K-3 whine when audio gain at zero

Elecraft mailing list
Hi,

Recall reading about others with this problem, but cannot locate it using search on this thread. Any help with removing this aggravation would be appreciated.

My issue is intermittent. Had it briefly before, but mysteriously disappeared. Now it's back.

Thanks.

73,

Art KZ5D

Re: K-3 whine when audio gain at zero

Bob McGraw - K4TAX
Sounds as though digital noise is getting into the analog ground. Make
sure all connections  between the radio and power supply are clean and
tight.  Also, check the ground between the radio ground terminal and the
power supply ground terminal.

Has anything been added to the station in terms of equipment?  Also make
sure all PL-259 connectors are more than finger tight.  I use a pair of
4" Channel Lock pliers to snug them when I add or remove something.
