Can the K-POD be used to tune the 2nd receiver in SO2V mode, say in a
contest? I own an older K3 with the 2nd receiver, but have only used it a couple times and it remains packed away awaiting the next outing, thus the perhaps silly question. Thanks in advance for the answer. Most certainly! K*Pod has a three-position rocker switch that assigns the
knob to VFO A, VFO B, or RIT/XIT. If the second rx is enabled and the K*Pod rocker is in the VFO B position, the pod knob tunes the second rx, even if you're not presently listening to it. That's exactly how I operated SS last weekend and found it relaxing to be able to move my left hand only a few inches to the left to tune the sub. Go for it! BTW, I use N1MM Logger which, like some other loggers, uses the tilde key to turn the sub on and off when in SO2V mode. That's even closer to hand than the K*Pod. But if you use a logger that doesn't implement that convention, it would be handy to program a pod button, probably F8 or maybe F4, to toggle the sub off and on. 73, /Rick N6XI On Fri, Nov 11, 2016 at 8:50 AM, Mike Smith VE9AA <[hidden email]> wrote: > Can the K-POD be used to tune the 2nd receiver in SO2V mode, say in a > contest? > > > > I own an older K3 with the 2nd receiver, but have only used it a couple > times and it remains packed away awaiting the next outing, thus the perhaps > silly question. > > > > Thanks in advance for the answer. > > > > Mike VE9AA > > > > Mike, Coreen & Corey > > Keswick Ridge, NB > > > > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to [hidden email] > -- Rick Tavan Truckee, CA ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
