I'm interest in macros or ?? (alternative key assignments) to enable simple tasks I've been accustomed to with other radios.
The ones that immediately come to mind are - jump up or down X Khz (2 buttons) - increase/decrease (or reset to the default) step of the tuning encoder - switch directly to a specific band instead of having to scroll through them to get where you want to go (6 buttons). There are others that I'm sure I'll think of as time moves on. Eric,
Some of those functions are already present in the K3/K3S - read the *entire* manual including the chart of menu functions to see more things that you can do. - jump up/down x kHz, see VFO OFS - increase/decrease step of tuning encoder, see VFO CRS - switch to a different band, see "Quick Memories" - I have not used the BAND+ BAND- switches in a long time, band switching is a quick two button tap. 73, Don W3FPR On 1/8/2018 5:59 AM, Eric Rosenberg wrote: > I'm interest in macros or ?? Chapter 5 of Fred Cady's Macro Programming, has some of these plus methods of macro testing. I used some of the content to program mine. There's plenty of references, e.g., setting a frequency is on pages 115-116, etc.
