There has been a dearth of "It's alive!" messages
on the reflector from builders completing kits. I thought I might address that. Here's one! I completed TWO kits in November. K1 2168 was a gift from Valentine's Day 06 and I only got around to building it last month (Nov 07). I had so much fun I decided to get it a baby brother so K1 2461 was ordered and built also in Nov 07. They're both alive and doing well. They sound great! K1 2168 - 40/30/20/17 + ATU + NB + tilt stand K1 2461 - 80/15 + ATU + NB + tilt stand Not content with that I returned to the Elecraft order page and clicked a few more times. Today another bundle of joy came today courtesy UPS. It is still cold from being on the truck! K2 6295 in the box - QRP CW-only + NB + ATU + 160m I have two four-day weekends coming up and I think I know how I'll be spending them! Previously built these little guys, too: K2 4649 - QRP + SSB + ATU + NB + DSP + BAT + RS232C KX1 753 K1 1460 -- sold (foolishly) I know I always get a charge out of reading when others get their new radios up-and-running. I thought I'd share. 73! -- Scott (NE1RD) |
Scott,
Congratulations on the current K1. I too enjoy building Elecraft Kits (1 K1, 2 K2's, 2 KX1's and now a K3) John [K7SVV] ----- Original Message ----- From: "B.
