K1 Backlight

George Averill
Does anyone have suggestions for installing the backlight mod in the K1?  Which is best, 2 ma or 6 ma configuration?  Has anyone installed a switch to turn it on or off?

George,

If you operate mostly on battery, use the 2ma. option, otherwise I would
use the 6 ma. for its extra brightness - but best is to install it
initially for 2 ma, and then look at it to see if you think it is bright
enough.

I don't think there is room for a switch.

I used the lower brightness level and it works great. The power draw is minimal and another switch is something else to break...
