I'm at a stand-still with the K1 and need some advice. All resistance and voltage checks have passed up to this point. When I put the power to it for the first test and receiver alignment the yellow ATTN led comes on and that's as far as it goes. The light stays on and nothing else happens. I found that I had installed RP4 and RP5 in the wrong direction. I pulled them out (destroying them in the process) and have since been told the direction doesn't matter. As soon as I get the new ones from Elecraft I will re-install and then start checking voltages of U1, etc.
The question is, is there something else I should be looking for. I have checked and re-checked all solder joints and have made impedance checks on every point. All are okay!
Waiting to hear from someone who may have a solution. My guess is a bad IC??? Thanks
