If you were to have me make a dust cover for your radio
would you prefer that the sides and front of the cover be even with the bottom of the radio or have them (almost) touch the surface that the radio sets on? Would you rather your cover -not- have a back flap? As I currently make them the back cover is sewn only across the top and lays on top of any cabling that's connected to the radio. This -does- help prevent the build-up of dust on the connector and cables. I'd welcome the observations of those of you who already have one or more of my covers, too. 73! I'm very happy with my covers as you made them thanks.
I have to say the K3 cover isn't on the K3 much, but that's because I'm using the K3 so much :) The HexTent is just great and has drawn a comment from every visitor (this is because the cover is always on the Key, I'm sure the K3 cover would do the same). Great covers, great work, great service :) On 25/02/2008 01:09, "Ken Kopp" <[hidden email]> sent: > If you were to have me make a dust cover for your radio > would you prefer that the sides and front of the cover be > even with the bottom of the radio or have them (almost) > touch the surface that the radio sets on? > > Would you rather your cover -not- have a back flap? Rose, I think the covers are perfect just the way they are. i especially like how the back flap is not attached at the sides, so it is easy to slide onto the radio. I am still waiting for my K3 to arrive, but I am using it on my old Yaesu FT-840 (slightly smaller than the K3). Well made product!
