<<<You'll find the paint behind locked gates, and be sure to bring your id
no matter what your age... (sigh - the joys of living in California...)>>> Your kidding right?? You have to show a ID to buy paint?? I've never heard of having to show a ID to buy paint, don't have to here thats for sure. I guess South Dakota really is 20 years behind everyone else. There must be 'spray paint thieves' about (or maybe they are just trying to
protect folks from themselves, a futile effort IMHO) - so far, the spray paint is on open shelves here in North Carolina. 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > > It's locked up at most stores here in Las Vegas but no id necessary (yet) > > 72/73 > Tony W7GO _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. My assumption has been that it's an anti-graffiti measure.

Those would be awfully stupid paint sniffers! Colourful ones, too! :-) I've seen news reports about some places locking up spray paint, it is an anti-graffiti measure. -- 73, Brian VE7NGR _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Wow. That's a lot of email in a short time. You have to be at least 18
to buy spray paint in this state. I understand it is an ant-graffiti measure. If it helps in that regard, then it is most welcome. I do have to wonder about anyone sniffing spray paint by spraying it up their nose. I bet that would be easy to catch... ;-) On Mar 7, 2005, at 7:08 PM, Brian Mury wrote: > On Mon, 2005-07-03 at 20:58 -0600, Bud Rogers wrote: >> On Monday 07 March 2005 20:51, David Katinsky wrote: >>> My assumption has been that it's an anti-graffiti measure. >> >> More likely paint sniffers, I imagine. > > Paint sniffers? I bet that would be easy to catch... ;-) It's often sprayed into a paper or plastic bag, which is then used to breath from. The addicts can occasionally be identified if they get paint on hands/faces. http://www.usdoj.gov/ndic/pubs07/708/ We're pretty far off topic at this point. -- -----/___. _)Margaret Stephanie Leber CCP, SCJP/"The art of progress / ----/(, /| /| http://voicenet.com/~maggie SCWCD/ is to preserve order/ ---/ / | / | _ _ _ ` _ AOPA 925383/ amid change and to / --/ ) / |/ |_(_(_(_/_(_/__(__(/_ K3XS / preserve change amid/ -/ (_/ ' .-/ .-/ ARRL 39280 /order."-A.N.Whitehead/ /________________(_/_(_/_______AMSAT 32844_/<[hidden email]>/ _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list.
