I found that my K1 was very sensitive to having good electrical
contact. I had trouble with paddles that didn't have the bearings bypassed. The same paddles worked fine with my K2. I think this issue would be more likely with ball bearing paddles. I was using Kent twin lever paddles. They were not bypassed like their single lever model was. It used a small piece of braid to go from ground to the bearing spindle. 73, Rick Dettinger K7MW On Jun 1, 2010, at 3:08 PM, [hidden email] wrote: > Ok, radio is up but I am having an issue with my paddle. Rick,
Do you have any pictures of what you did? Or even more elaboration? The same thing was happening on my rockmite 20 meter altoid rig. I just switched to a bug and sold all of my paddles, but not for that
reason. The ground braid on the Kent single lever paddle was installed when I bought it. The twin lever paddle didn't have any braid.
