K1 actual serial number critical when buying a used k1

hello folks,
i plan to buy a used k1. Are there some main revisisons or changes on the mainbord or firmware? is there a difference between older and newer serial numbers? what is the actual serial number rangeß withe the K2 we  have actually the range 67xx.
