K1 :: output transistor

Steve Jackson-5
The 2SC1969 is available and in stock at MCM:

http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/2SC1969

I imagine substitutes are available but I can not comment on this.
Perhaps the current BOM for the K1 kit would reflect such a component change.
I did not look to see.

Take a look at the 2N6288 as a replacement. Using Partminer they listed this as an upgrade to the 2SC1969. I don't have the time to look at the datasheets right now to compare them, I'll post later if it is a direct replacement or not. They do seem pretty cheap, at about 1.05 per piece from mouser.com
