Installed, set in menu XV1 RF 144 XV1 IF 28 XV1 PWR L 1.50 XV1 OFS 5.40 XV1 ADR trn 1 LED flashes once when powered on Firmware sent (again) LED flashes appropriately. NO audio except FM hiss if 'MODE is changed from FM to CW or DATA or AM - band switches to 46.940 (from 146.940) if above is done from 144.390 then with CW, DATA, or CW it switches to 44.390 I thought it was supposed to XVT with 28MHZ per XV1 IF 28 ?? nothing heard with a sig gen either. and of course no power out. Any suggestions please thanks John VE3NFK (the rest of the updates went fine except Synchro AM now has a NEW annoying habit of 'clunking' as it crosses over 739.994 - 740.004 (medium wave am station) which it didn't do before) |
I think if you set XV1 ADR to Int trn 1, it should work a lot better.
See the manual to be sure. 73, matt W6NIA On Sun, 21 Mar 2010 06:02:00 -0800 (PST), you wrote: > > >Installed, set in menu >XV1 RF 144 >XV1 IF 28 >XV1 PWR L 1.50 >XV1 OFS 5.40 >XV1 ADR trn 1 > >LED flashes once when powered on > >Firmware sent (again) LED flashes appropriately. > >NO audio except FM hiss > >if 'MODE is changed from FM to CW or DATA or AM - band switches to 46.940 >(from 146.940) > >if above is done from 144.390 then with CW, DATA, or CW it switches to >44.390 > >I thought it was supposed to XVT with 28MHZ per XV1 IF 28 ?? > >nothing heard with a sig gen either. > >and of course no power out. > >Any suggestions please > >thanks John VE3NFK > >(the rest of the updates went fine except Synchro AM now has a NEW annoying >habit of 'clunking' as it crosses over 739.994 - 740.004 (medium wave am >station) which it didn't do before) Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Thanks so much Matt - missed the "int" I have audios now :-) still doesn't like CW, DATA or AM though..... 73 John VE3NFK |
Hm, OK. Glad it's hearing now.
Since the IF is 28 MHz, you might want to make sure all modes are working on 28 and then check out the 2m functions. If a feature doesn't work on the IF, it won't work with a transverter. 73, matt W6NIA On Sun, 21 Mar 2010 06:25:14 -0800 (PST), you wrote: > > >Thanks so much Matt - missed the "int" I have audios now :-) > >still doesn't like CW, DATA or AM though..... > >73 John VE3NFK ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
soory - hit return by accident ..
Hi Matt I checked this suggestion out and all modes are fine on th 10 meter band (28.020) and only FM and USB/LSB on the 2 meters.. if you go to CW/DATA/AM - the frequency drops to 44 MHZ 73 John VE3NFK On 21 March 2010 11:39, Matt Zilmer [via Elecraft] <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hm, OK. OK, the VFO A display only has so many digits. This means you've set
the step to 1 Hz. The top digit ('1') rolls off the end in this case. For example, 44.200000 might be indicated for 144.2 mHz. It's somewhere in the manual, I think. If not, it should be. matt On Sun, 21 Mar 2010 07:47:24 -0800 (PST), you wrote: > >soory - hit return by accident .. > >Hi Matt > >I checked this suggestion out and all modes are fine on th 10 meter >band (28.020) and only FM and USB/LSB on the 2 meters.. if you go to >CW/DATA/AM - the frequency drops to 44 MHZ > >73 John VE3NFK > > > >On 21 March 2010 11:39, Matt Zilmer [via Elecraft] ><[hidden email]> wrote: >> Hm, OK.
