Hi!
I just installed a K144XV in my K3 S/N 1115. The device works great at a very nice sensitivity (compared to all other 2m allmode rigs I've ever used). There is only one thing that makes me wonder. If you tune at VFO A e.g. to 145.700 (using a TX shift of -600 Hz of reperater mode) and then switch to VFO B tuning to a frequency inside the SSB area the frequency (without TX shift) of the frequency of the VFO A will change too. Looking at the second display for VFO B while tuning at VFO B shows the said effect. The frequency at VFO B changes in the same amount as you make your tuns at VFO A. It is a little bit like some functions at other rigs that are called "linked VFO's" or similar. I'm not sure, if the K3 supports such a function or how I'm able to active / deactive that feature (or is it maybe still a bug?). Any replies and comments are welcome. Vy 73 de Sascha, DH2SE |
Feature-There is a way to link the VFOs and of course I am working in
the middle of the night here and can't tell you how to unlink them. I seem to remember it having to do with the "split" button. (But don't quote me on that) On 8/13/2010 2:25 AM, DH2SE wrote: > Hi! > > I just installed a K144XV in my K3 S/N 1115. Push and hold SUB until you see "Unlink". It will toggle on each hold between Link and Unlink.
Note: if you have the sub receiver, and even longer hold will put you into "Diversity" receive mode. 73, Eric www.elecraft.com _..._ On Aug 13, 2010, at 3:32 AM, Jim Rhodes <[hidden email]> wrote: > Feature-There is a way to link the VFOs and of course I am working in > the middle of the night here and can't tell you how to unlink them. Hi all,
thanks a lot for your help. I've made it. Holding down the SUB Button for approx. 2 seconds switched the VFO link function off. Sorry the problem of some malfunctions many times sits in front of the rig Vy 73 de Sascha |
