Dear Fellow Elecrafters,
Just want to report that my K2/100 5182 is finally alive, but not on
the air yet. I have to wait to put up an outdoor antenna in this
spring.
The total build time for K2 itself is about 60-70 hrs, and KPA100
option took another 40 hrs. Everything went together at the first try.
I did make some minor soldering mistakes, and fortunately, none of
them was serious enough.
The calibration of master oscillator via Spectrogram and WWV did take
some time, due to signal propagation variations. The R26 adjustment on
KPA100 was set to 42K for now, since I don't have access to an external
calibrated meter. I suspect my Tentec 238 tuner meter is way off.
