Hi folks,
My K2/100 is finished and working beautifully. What a simple pleasure
it is to operate a radio you've built yourself! I know it's been said
before, but it does take all those hours (and windings) to really
'get' it. A few good QSOs on 30m and I'm also delighted to find the
receiver is just wonderful. Somehow I imagined I'd have all sorts of
odd teething problems and alignment issues, but nothing of the sort.
The front panel ergonomics are ideal for CW too. On my Yaesu 857D I'd
have to go into secondary menus to change the CW speed and RF power (!).
I will be operating GH6UW/p (from EU-099, Jersey DXCC) between 2
September and 8 September. I will be operating CW in a team of four.
If you work me, you've worked K2 # 6214!
Good luck to everyone who is waiting for a K3, and thank you very
much for the capable assistance offered when I couldn't get my PLL
range test working...;-)
