K2/100 + Icom AH-4 Antenna Tuner?

Hi

Does anyone have experience in using the remote Icom AH-4 Antenna Tuner with the K2/100?

Does anyone know the signal flow between the KIO2 and the KPA100? Could it be used to control the AH-4? I know what the AH-4 needs.

Gert,

Someone else will have to help you with your first question, I have no
experience with that tuner.

The signalling between the KIO2 and KPA100 (or KAT100) is done over the
single wire communications bus called the AUXBUS - it is Elecraft
proprietary and is not likely to work with gear of other manufacturer.  As
far as I know, Elecraft has no arrangement with any other manufacturer for
the use of this signalling protocol.

Elecraft does make a band decoder unit that can provide band information
outputs, if you can get the tuner to use band info.
Or you can use read KIO2's RS232 output to read the exact frequency; if
you're up to doing some microcontroller programming, you can then output
that data in whatever format the tuner needs.
