K2/100 and Paclink Setup

Phil Kane-2
I am attempting to set up my K2/100 to send Pactor messages with the
Paclink program via a Pactor-capable TNC.  In using my other digital
data program, MixW, for BPSK31, I set a COM port to communicate with the
K2/100's I/O port and the program controls the PTT line in the K2 very
nicely.

I have attempted to do this with the Pactor program with no success.
The K2 does not go into Transmit mode when set for PTT, and it pulses
almost uncontrollably when set for VOX.

Has anyone succeeded in interfacing these two, or is a different Pactor
program indicated?

With thanks for constructive advice.

A lot of hair-pulling today (I don't have much left to spare...) finally
found the culprit (I hope).  The cable to the TNC from the mic-TNC
switch does not appear to be properly connected to the TNC connector,
and no PTT signal was getting to the K2.  The ohmmeter and the clip lead
were my friends.  Unfortunately the OK-232 connector is a mini-IDC job
that I can't readily fix.

Back to MFJ goes the switch!      Until next time.....
