K2 160 mtr Allignment

Evert Bakker (PA2KW)
Hello guys,

I just installed the K2 unit in my K2 (#4836).
All seems to work but a little less sensitivity in the lower part of the
band (F<1850 Khz).
I wasn't to worried because the next page described an allignment test.
The first algnment is about the VCO lineairization. When performing,
after 2 seconds I get the message "Info 232".
In the K2 manual is stated that the procedure most probably is performed
on the wrong band (the first lineairization was on 7 Mc isn't it?)

Now what to do?

Thanks for info in adavance.

Evert, PA2KW

Hi Bob and Jim,

Thanks for info!
I forgot to read the errata page (ai ai ai)! No one to blame at Elecraft
but just myself.
This will clear up my "cloudy" mood (hi).
Thanks so far.

Evert:

There should be an item in the addendum that says to not run the PLL
Linearization step.  The early version of the firmware required the PLL
Lin on all bands but the newer firmware only requires it to be done on 7
MHz.

Look at the last item on the addendum sheet.

You can download the addendum sheet from the Elecraft site on the Manual
page.

PS:  You are not the first to miss this item...
