K2 160m QSO

Vk2NU
Hi All,

Just thought I would report my first 160m K2 QSO.. I managed to work VI9NI
with my basic K2, loading my short 80m vertical antenna. The K2 tuner would
only manage a SWR of 5:1 on this, and therefore the power was rolled back to
about 3w on the radio.

Norfolk is my 9th country on Top Band, in 9 years of hamming... At this rate
I should make DXCC on 160m by the time I'm 140 or so.

Regards

David, VK2NU

That guy has "great ears" -- I worked him last night on 40, and
heard him working a bunch of guys quite efficiently. He also QSYed
down to 80 for some guys here on the west coast of the US. I heard
him here (near San Francisco), but with too much QRN to try a QSO.
