K2 #3829 has grown up! :-)

Tom Arntzen
Hi all!
Long time since I was on list.
My K2 has grown since last time.
It is now a K2/100 DSP AT.
The DSP and KAT100 is lates addition to the line.
My K2 has worked flawless since it was build and gives me daily pleasure.
Earlier I read some complaints about the KDSP beeing difficult to set.
I find the KDSP to be surprising simple when I saw how many adjustments there really are.
The gainmenu are my favorite.
Beeing able to balance the system was a big advantage. ( still balancing my system hehe.)
The thing is that the KDSP is adaptive and the use is adaptive and has to be done over time.
At first when you start use the dsp you only has enough feel to set the dsp just broadly where you want it.
The rest has to come with time....eg. fine tuning.
When it comes to the KAT100.....Well!!
I bought a used Z100 for use with my FT-817..( still has my K1 witch I want sell)
That was a good opportunity to bye the T-1 since the Z100 want work with the 817???
Low power specs is the same. z100 says 0,1 and T-1 says 0,5 I think.
The Z100 lies. T-1 doesn't. One of the fines small piece of equipment I have ever owned.
I lost my believe in the Z100 so the KAT100 was bought for my K2. Smart move!
I more and more get the feeling that Elecraft want people to like their new investment more or just as much as making money
while others just want to make money.
It also make me feel that when I use my elecraft rigs and addons , I use well tested designs witch was build by the most trusted person on earth.
Me.....   :-)
Have a nice weekend all!
