I suggest you use the N6KR method to set the 4 MHz reference
oscillator. Refer to my website www.w3fpr.com article on K2 Dial
Calibration. Note that the actual frequency may not be at 4 MHz.
You may use any AM station that has a known carrier frequency rather
than WWV. If you use a standard station that transmits only a carrier,
you will still have to use SSB mode, but switch to CW to adjust the
pitch equal to your sidetone pitch.
