K2 #5644 on the air

Hey all,
Just wanted to let you know that K2 5644 is officially on the air. Just
had a QSO with W2BPI/QRP in NY with FB sig report. Time of construction
was about 45 hours spaced out over a few weeks. Had a couple issues
along the way - both traced back to bad transistors which were quickly
sent back to me by the fine people at Elecraft.

I already have the KSB2, KNB2, and K160RX on hand which will probably be
added in the next few days, and I plan on upgrading to the K2/100
eventually.

Congrats, Mike!!

Old #1289 is now entering its seventh year of on-air use and some abuse
testing mods without a single whimper! It became a K2/100 in 2002.

These are rugged, reliable rigs that'll give you years of fun.
