K2 #6155 Resistance check for Assembly II - U6 pin 9 low value

ArtLinux
Hi builders

Progress seems fine except for a 36 ohm value measured at U6 pin 8
instead of >100 ohms (page 59). What values have you seen there? My
measurements were made with an Ideal auto-ranging DMM.

I see at least 8 paths plus active devices to be considered for
troubleshooting if 36 ohms is not a commonly seen resistance reading.
The other values in the table of resistance checks are as specified.

I look forward to hearing your experiences at this resistance
checkpoint.

Arthur,

The 8B line (Measured at U6 pin 8) is a voltage rail, so you should
resolve the low resistance reading before you apply power.

Be certain all the active devices are installed the right way around
(the parts placement diagram at the end of the manual is handy for
that), and check the value of any resistors connected to that voltage
rail before proceeding.

Sorry I can't simplify it any more than that - you will just have to
hunt until you find it - voltage rail problems are like that.  If you
are brave and have lots of parts, you could just plug it in and see what
overheats or smokes, but that is not in any way a recommended procedure,
do it at your own peril.
