All,
I've purchased a Clifton Laboratories Z10000B Buffer to fit to my K2 to
extract a buffered IF. The instruction provided by Jack, K8ZOA, for
installing the buffer in a K2 provide two options: Option 1 which is
Jack's original design and takes the IF output after the K2 Q22
low-noise post mixer amplifier, and Option 2, an alternate from Larry
N8LP (of Telepost Inc fame), which takes the output prior to Q22. Both
options have advantages and disadvantages which are well described in
the instructions.
I'm wondering what Option others have gone with and why?
