[K2] Control Board R20 bad value?

IZ2NYY
Hy to all, installing the resistor R20 on the control board i checked, as usual, the value before soldering. It should have a value of 2.7 ohm with 5% tolarance, but the resistor in my kit is 3.2 ohm (the color code is respected for the 2.7 value). Could it be problem so that it's better i replace it with a more accurate value???

Thanks for replies

  Pippo,

The exact value of R20 is not so critical, although all the datasheet
typical applications use 2.7 ohms.  I would suggest that you  use the
resistor supplied.

You may also want to check the accuracy of your DMM when measuring small
resistance values.  Some meters provide for a zeroing adjustment to
compensate for probe resistance.  A loose fitting probe could cause
errors when measuring very low resistances.

As a sanity check for your meter, measure the 1/2 watt resistor on the
RF Board resistor strip, it should measure close to 1.5 ohms.

Hy Don, i Made a new measure with an Hp multimeter with 5 decimals and the result was 2,9289 ohm a more confortabile data i think.
