What is the maximum ripple that the K2 can have on the DC power? What would be
a recommended value? 10%? 1%? 0.01%?
Just to be sure that I am applying theory correctly:
>From the 2001 ARRL Handbook page 11.12 the formula for ripple on a capacitor
input filter is listed as:
C x E = I x t
where
C = the capacitance in microfarads,
E = the peak to peak ripple voltage,
I = the load current in milliampres,
t = the time between half cycles of the rectified waveform in milliseconds.
Is the percentage of ripple simply the peak to peak ripple voltage (E from the
above equation) divided by the power supply output voltage times 100?
